1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using LIVE DOT ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
LIVE DOT provides a QR code generation and management platform that allows users to:
- Create dynamic QR codes that can be edited and tracked
- Generate static QR codes with fixed content
- Customize QR code designs with colors, logos, and frames
- Export QR codes in multiple formats (PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF)
- Access analytics and scan tracking for dynamic QR codes
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use our Service.
4. Subscription Plans
LIVE DOT offers two subscription tiers:
Free Plan
- 2 Dynamic QR Codes (editable and trackable)
- 5 Static QR Codes (fixed content)
- Basic analytics
- All export formats
Pro Plan ($9.99/month)
- Unlimited Dynamic QR Codes
- Unlimited Static QR Codes
- Advanced analytics
- All export formats
- Priority support
5. Payment and Billing
For paid subscriptions:
- Payment is processed securely through Stripe
- Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date
- Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance
- You are responsible for all applicable taxes
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Important: We do not offer refunds for any subscription payments.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
- Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period (month or year)
- You will continue to have access to Pro features until the subscription expires
- After expiration, your account will automatically revert to the Free plan
- No partial refunds will be issued for unused time in your billing period
- Cancellation does not delete your account or QR codes
Example: If you subscribe on January 1st and cancel on January 15th, your Pro subscription will remain active until January 31st (for monthly) or January 1st of the following year (for annual). You will not be charged for the next billing period.
7. Account Downgrade
When your Pro subscription expires or you downgrade to the Free plan:
- Existing QR codes will be preserved
- If you exceed Free plan limits, you will need to delete excess QR codes or upgrade again
- You will be unable to create new codes beyond Free plan limits
- Analytics data will remain accessible for existing dynamic QR codes
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Create QR codes that link to illegal, harmful, or fraudulent content
- Distribute malware, viruses, or other malicious code
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Harass, abuse, or harm another person
- Create spam or unsolicited communications
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
9. Intellectual Property
Your Content: You retain all rights to the content you create using our Service, including QR codes and the data they contain.
Our Service: The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by LIVE DOT and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
License to Use: By uploading content to our Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
10. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and use your data as described in the Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that:
- QR code scan data may be collected for analytics purposes
- You are responsible for the content of your QR codes
- We may use aggregate, anonymized data for service improvement
11. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability, but:
- The Service is provided "as is" without guarantees of uptime
- We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance or upgrades
- We are not responsible for third-party service disruptions
- QR codes continue to function even during Service outages (scanning does not require our servers)
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- LIVE DOT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim
- We are not responsible for any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- We are not liable for how others use QR codes you create
13. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms and Conditions
- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Your account is inactive for an extended period
- We are required to do so by law
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may request a copy of your data before termination by contacting support.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will:
- Notify you of material changes via email or through the Service
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Provide at least 30 days notice for changes affecting paid subscriptions
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which LIVE DOT operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
16. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute:
- Contact us first to attempt to resolve the issue informally
- If informal resolution fails, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration
- You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
